Welcome to the Clay County Animal Shelter! We are glad you are considering adopting from our shelter. The following information is requested for Shelter Staff to assist you in the selection of a new pet. This process is designed to help us assist you in finding an animal that is most compatible with your lifestyle.

To be considered as an adopter, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age, or older

  • Have identification, showing your current address

  • Have the consent of your landlord in writing (if applicable)

  • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide medical treatment and proper care for pet.
